Using cloaked links for variety
17-Aug-06
A big concern with authors who submit articles is the duplication issue when it comes to backlinks. It’s true, Google and the other search engines may not show all of your links during a search, but its doubtful if you’re penalized for it.
However, if you want to have a variety of bio box urls rotated throughout your article submission, here’s a way . . .
Get yourself a good link cloaker and create any number of “alternate” urls for your site.
Affiliate Link Wizard will create redirected links from different folders on your server. You can make up as many folders as you’d like. For example, if you were promoting Article Submitter Pro, you could have ALW create a folder named “asp” and make the redirect an index.htm and put it in that folder. Your link would then be http://yoursite.com/asp.
Or you could have ALW create “recommends” folders, so your link would look like, “yoursite.com/recommends/asp” or “yoursite.com/suggests/asp” or anything you’d like.
If you’re an affiliate of ours, you get Affiliate Link Wizard free of charge. If not, you can get it at: http://affiliatelinkwizard.com/
Another great cloaker is “Go Try This!”
Not only does it create cloaked links on the fly without adding folders to your server, but it also tracks them. Here’s the link to check it out:

In any case, using cloaked links in your bio box helps to overcome the problem caused by most of the article directories’ policy of stripping out html coding for text links.
