It started with a simple question to the more than 1,500 users of the original Article Submitter Pro . . .

"What would you like to see added and/or changed in the software to improve your article submission experience?"

We expected a few of the suggestions, like having multiple favorites, and niche specific favorites because people have been requesting those all along. But the other responses we got were overwhelming to say the least! We received all kinds of ideas to make the software better, faster, and more flexible. It really showed us how serious our clients were about using the software, and how strongly they felt about it.

And you know what? Most of these suggestions are now part of Article Submitter Pro 2 !

For example, some people wanted to be able to have separate logins and passwords for each of their authors. We thought it a strange request at first, because registering to the sites has got to be the most tedious part of article submitting.

But then we realized what this could mean. Being able to have separate logins and passwords for each author would allow our users to create their own Article Submission Service using Article Submitter Pro, and capitalize on the power of the software to make a decent living submitting articles for other people.

Couple that with another suggestion, having a printable submission history, would let those utilizing the software in this way, to send their customers detailed reports on a daily or weekly basis of all the articles submitted and where they went.

We thought that was pretty cool indeed!

Another idea we received from our users was to allow multiple article submissions to each site. This one got us a little nervous because we didn't want people using Article Submitter Pro to spam the article directories. But at the same time, many users like to prepare several articles in advance and then submit them all at once. So we acquiesced, and now users can submit as many articles to the same directory as the site will allow.

Those are just a few of the suggestion made by our users. If we listed them all, this post would never get finished. Needless to say, most suggestions were included in the rebuild.

Now we also had our own ideas to make Article Submitter Pro better and more powerful . . .

The biggest was to include a way to submit to social networks. So now Article Submitter Pro 2 has a built in Social Site Submitter with more than 50 of the most popular social sites in it.

Another idea was to make the site registration process easier to manage. This meant we had to move it from being a separate module directly into the flow of the submission process. We coupled this with one of the many suggestions we received and added a Default Login button, so the user could simply click a button and have their desired login,  password, and registration details readily available to use in the site registrations.

Of course as was always the case, when a site is registered to, the software stores that information for use the next time. However now, if a site hasn't yet been registered to, the registration page comes up in the window instead of the submission form. Then once the directory is registered to, clicking on the site will bring up the login form. This all makes it possible to now register to a site and then immediately submit to it in one single motion.

We've also extended the time limit on the demo version of Article Submitter Pro 2 . People who wish to test drive it now have a full 7 days rather than the 3 day limit of the previous version.

And we've added Live Help and a way to report defective sites.

Out of all the article directories, about 220 of them had problems, all of them low PR with some virtually abandoned by their owners. So all in all, the loss isn't so bad, and we have new article directories coming on board all the time. This still gives us over 1,200 fully working, safe article directories you can submit to. Far more than any of our competitors.

Speaking of competitors, if you know of anyone who's using one of those low end article submitters, you might warn them about the Yahoo hosting hack. Just about every site those submitters submit to are Article Dashboard style directories, so no doubt they're being effected.

One issue we've come across is at least 90 Article Dashboard style directories hosted by Yahoo have been hacked and loaded with trojans and worms. Every one of these directories has to be removed from the preloaded list until they can be repaired by the directory owners.

Now this isn't such a big deal for Article Submitter Pro users because that still leaves over 1,200 article directories still available, But for some of the other article submitters, 90 sites out of 200 is quite a lot of sites to lose.

We highly recommend you use a good anti-virus product whenever you interact with web sites outside of your own control.
